We had a fun day with Mara and Isaac before they're off to school this week. It's crazy to think we've taken care of them since they were babes!!! What precious little friends they are to all of us. :)
Our house is turning from pink to pink with garbage to white to GREEN!!! Jay and Alex were hard at work on siding the house Saturday. While moving some things around, Jay found a tiger salamander! Alex went right to work making it a home and pronouncing it his new pet, Sam. (Dodge family... any advice for Alex??)
I brought out a fish bowl, but that was definitely not enough for Alex's creative side. He's been waiting and waiting to fill this dusty old aquarium with something other than monarchs!
Our 'boys' are continuing to grow. We also had our animal number grow recently.... We have 6 new kittens!! Their eyes opened this week, so the girls have been able to hold and snuggle them. They're adorable.
Thanks for sharing Isaac with us! Toby is beyond thrilled that he has the same schedule as he does!
ReplyDeleteYeah a salamander! The aquarium will work much better. We have pebbles across the bottom with a higher area on one end. Then we add water until he (it?) has an area to submerse itself. He (it?) LOVES nightcrawlers. Last winter, we bought a container of meal worms at the pet store, BUT they don't eat much in the winter because they usually semi-hibernate. Lots of info online. Ours has been eating ALOT lately, getting ready for winter. :)
